I know that I haven’t posted for a while. In my defense I do not have regular access to a computer, and I can never seem to remember to bring my camera along with me. I am really going to try to do better. I’ve said that in the past and nothing has changed, so who knows if anything will change this time.

Cole is still working at Verizon and loathing “the man”. He recently bought some new equipment to start a mobile car washing business. It was a big investment but we think it will pay off. He really wants to break away and do his own thing full time, but there is just that sensible side of him that isn’t ready to take the leap yet. As much as he hates “the man”, he sure does love his medical insurance and his paycheck every two weeks! Hopefully we’ll do it soon!

I am still working at PDC in the Proofing department. I have been here almost a year now. I don’t mind what I do and I am grateful to have a job, but I don't have any special feelings for my job.

I recently broke down and got glasses. I have been having a really hard time seeing for the last few months and I finally got my glasses last week. I really like them and I have already seen a decrease in headaches!

We love our new apartment and our branch. We basically just eat, sleep, and work. It's fun though.

I'm sure that you all were shocked when you checked my blog today and saw that I had updated. I know it's been a few months, but I must be forgiven because I was off Taking the Plunge. And I'm also sure that when you saw the title of this post you thought you were going to see wedding pictures. But, boy were you wrong. This post is strictly about me getting my hair cut after close to 3 years of growing it out. I grew it out so that I could have it long for my wedding. The wedding is over now, and the hair is gone. However, I do PROMISE to post wedding pictures in the next few days. In the mean time, here are before and after pics of my hair

So, I know it's been a while since I've updated. But i feel like i have a good excuse. I moved my wedding up 2.5 months, and I just recently found out that I am losing my job 3 weeks before I get married! The school I work for is closing, so everyone is losing their jobs, not just me. But it is REALLY bad timing. So, I have been looking for a new job, and finializing wedding plans, and trying not to FREAK OUT! Anyways, I thought a new blog background would make me feel a little better. I will keep you all posted with job updates, and I hope to see lots of you at the reception.

7 DAYS!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

I'm sorry Cassidy, but a situation like this calls for multiple punctuation!!! I "pre-ordered" my copy of Breaking Dawn from Amazon 2 weeks ago so that I would be sure to get a copy. I got an email from them on the 2nd (the day it was released) saying that my order had shipped from the facility in Denver. Now 5 days later, according to the online tracking system, my book is STILL IN DENVER!!! I could have driven to Denver, read the 750 page book, and driven back by now!!! Not to mention, the shelves at Wal-Mart are full of copies!!! I am so PISSED!!!

Meanwhile, I work with some jerks who keep on telling me parts of the book that their wives have told them about!!!(I not-so-secretly suspect they are reading it themselves) And they keep on saying," Don't worry, it doesn't have anything to do with the main storyline." AHHH!!! The estimated ship date is the 8th, and if it is not here by then I am going to Wal-mart and buying a copy. On that note, I might be coming into an extra copy of Breaking Dawn, if anyone is interested. Only $12!!! :(

Camping

About 2 years ago Cole and I bought a tent trailer. It was really old and run down, but it was really cheap and we were confident that we could fix it up enough to use it. Well then we got it home and it sat there for 2 years.
So a few months ago Cole decided that he wanted to fix it up and start using it. With help from his mom, we got it all done. I would say they did about 98% of the work and I did 2%, and even that is being generous.
Anyhow, it's all done and we took the old girl out this weekend with some of our friends. We only stayed one night, but it was lots of fun and the trailer held up great! And we are planning on going again soon.

Well, as I'm sure most of you have heard I did not run the 5k on the 4th. I tripped and fell down while out running about a week before, and twisted my knee. I went to the Dr. and he told me I couldn't run for 1 month. So now I am walking, and riding my bike. And in 3 weeks I will start running again!

Cole has started his new job. He doesn't quite know yet if he likes it or not. He says that it's kind of hard, but he is obvioulsy going to give it a go, and see what happens.

New Job!

Cole has been thinking he might want to get a new job for a few months now, and whenever he would look around for one, nothing really looked quite right for him. Then on Sunday night he had finally just had it with his old boss and old job and decided to really start actively looking for a new job. So, he looked and found a few that sounded really good to him. He sent in his resume on Sunday night, got a call back from one of the companies on Monday, had an interview Tuesday morning and they offered him the job Tuesday night. We talked about it, and he accepted the job this morning. If only everything in life worked like that! We really lucked out! He will be doing tech. support for a company called ParentLink. It pays well, we will have good benefits, and Cole will be doing what he is best at, being a geek! ;) He really is so excited, and so am I!

5k...what have I got myself into

Well, recently I have been trying to lose some weight before the wedding. Part of what I have been doing is running. I thought it would be fun to set a goal for myself to SOMEDAY run a marathon. It's a good long term sort of thing, like a year from now sort of thing.

Then I got to thinking that just because I can't do a whole marathon doesn't mean I can't do a shorter race sometime sooner. I got online and started searching and found a 5k(3.1miles) on the fourth of July in Provo. I thought it sounded good, and you get a free shirt,so I paid the money and registered right then!

I was so excited that I told my co-worker, who also thought it would be fun. Then she called her roommate, who thought it sounded like a BLAST! And so on. The next thing I know I have 3 more (in much better shape) girls running this 5k with me in 11 days! Oh Boy!

Now, I know that I shouldn't worry about them. And that it should just be about me finishing and all that blah blah blah....But I was already a little nervous before and this just upped my nerves that much more.

So, hopefully I will have lots of supporters at the finish line when I come dragging through. Michael and Candi and family will be here that weekend so I am hoping they will all come with me. And until then all I can do is train, and pray!

Well I decided to start a blog about Cole and I since we are going to be planning our wedding and starting our new lives together! I figured this would be an easy way to keep everyone updated on what's going on with us. My hopes are that Cole will contribute to this as well, but realistically I don't know how often that will happen. :) Hope everyone enjoys.
